What is Crawford's?

Crawford's is an established database concentrating on the relationships between Major UK Companies and their Professional Advisers.

The complete database is available by either purchasing the annual directory Crawford's Directory of City Connections, published in March, or by subscribing as a Member to this Website www.crawfordsonline.co.uk.

Major UK Companies
The database includes UK companies which are:

• Listed on the London Stock Exchange
• Listed Investment and Venture Capital Trusts
• Listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM)

Also included is a section for Unquoted Companies. The criteria for these are:

• PLUS-quoted companies
• UK based private companies with an annual turnover greater than £15m
• Main UK subsidiaries of overseas companies trading in the UK (turnover £15m)

Information contained in Major UK Company entries

• Head Office address, telephone, fax, Website and e-mail
• Directors (including: Chairman; Chief Exec; MD; Finance Director; Company Secretary; Investor Relations; Executive Board Memeber; Non-Executive Director where appropriate)
• Substantial Shareholders
• techMARK companies highlighted
• Turnover
• Number of Employees
• Pension Fund Name
• Professional Advisers

Professional Advisers
Each Major UK Company entry has links to the Professional Advisers retained on a long-term basis. Professional Advisers are listed by their area of specialisation as follows:

• Auditor
• Banker
• Financial Adviser
• Financial PR Consultant
• Insurance Adviser
• Registrar
• Solicitor
• Stockbroker
• Investment Trust Managers, Unit Trust & OEIC Managers

The Updating Process.

Advisers are contacted and the database updated with details received. New companies provided by the advisers are also researched and, where appropriate, added to the Crawford's database.

The updated client list provided by the advisers can only be updated if the clients meet Crawford's criteria for a listing in the Major UK Companies sector. This criteria is detailed above.

Furthermore the updated client list is verified by each Major UK Company along with all their contact details. This ensures correct Major Company contact information, and that no Adviser lists a client to whom they do not supply services on a retained basis.

Clients failing to meet these criteria do not get added to Crawford's and are not therefore included in the adviser's client list.
